After making hearts flutter with a guest appearance in "Boyfriend on Demand" earlier this year, K-drama heartthrob Seo Kang-joon is set to return this September as the lead of a new romance series alongside actress Ahn Eun-jin.

The project titled "A Love Other Than Yours" will premiere on Prime Video on September 12, the streaming service announced Monday.

"The series explores the fragile line between comfort and passion, and whether choosing each other after ten years is an act of love, habit, or survival," Prime Video said in a press release.

The series follows Namgung Ho and Lee Mi-do, a couple who have been together for 10 years as their relationship is put to the test. While Ho believes marriage is the natural next step, Mi-do finds herself drawn to another man, forcing the couple to confront the future of their relationship.

Kang-joon plays Ho, who believes that after 10 years together, his relationship with Mi-do can withstand anything. But his confidence is shaken when Mi-do appears to fall in love with another man.

Meanwhile, Eun-jin plays Mi-do, a once-promising film director whose career has stalled. As she struggles through a creative slump, she finds herself gradually drawn to another man who is not Ho.

Joining them are Lee Joo-ahn, who previously starred in "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty," as Han Tae-seung, a lawyer who develops a connection with Mi-do; and former K-pop idol Jo A-ram, known for "Doctor Cha," as Ho's colleague Park Su-an.

Kang-joon first gained recognition for the 2016 series "Cheese in the Trap" and has since starred in other dramas like "Are You Human?", "When the Weather Is Fine" and "Undercover High School."

Earlier this year, he appeared in "Boyfriend on Demand," drawing viewers' attention with his portrayal of one of the virtual boyfriends offered through the show's fictional virtual dating service.

Eun-jin first gained recognition for her supporting role in "Hospital Playlist" before going on to star in "My Dearest," "Genie, Make a Wish" and "Dynamite Kiss."
