Filipino-German model Maureen Wroblewitz gave fans a glimpse into a more vulnerable side of her career journey after sharing her audition tape for the American romantic drama series Off Campus.
On her TikTok page, the former beauty queen uploaded a video of herself performing lines for the role of Hannah Wells, the series’ female lead.
“auditioned for the role of Hannah ✨ this is soooo out of my comfort zone to post (I might delete lol) 😭 I haven’t been sharing this side of my journey online but maybe I should be more open about this 🥹 This was from Feb 2025 btw #audition #offcampus #selftape #actress #acting,” Maureen wrote.
In the comments section, Maureen candidly shared that she imagined Harry Styles as her scene partner while filming the self-tape audition.
“Fyi I was imagining meeting Harry Styles lol,” she said.
Maureen also responded gracefully to constructive feedback from fans, with one commenter pointing out that her performance could feel more natural emotionally, to which Maureen explained the challenges of filming a self-tape audition remotely.
“I think maybe cause I didn’t have an actual person standing in front of me. My sister, who was the reader, was just on FaceTime,” she said.
While she ultimately did not land the role, she hinted that another acting project is already in the works.
“Someone else did already 🥹 the show is out! But my show is coming soon 🤭🤞🏽,” she said.
Beyond that, Maureen also made it clear that she is determined to pursue acting more seriously moving forward.
“Maurine don't stop until I see u on Netflix ok?!” a fan encouraged, to which Maureen replied. “Never!! 🤭 But I don’t mind which platform.. Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Prime, HBO, Apple TV.”
She also revealed that she is currently signed with an acting management team. “I have an acting management 🤍 unfortunately it’s hard to find network auditions on your own, unless they do an open casting.”
Maureen first rose to fame after becoming the first Filipina winner of Asia’s Next Top Model. She later ventured into beauty pageants when she participated in the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 contest and came out as first runner-up behind Beatrice Luigi Gomez.
In recent years, she has steadily expanded her career into acting, appearing in films such as Runaway and Take Me to Banaue. She also had an appearance in the American police procedural series FBI: Most Wanted, where she played the role of Rosa Martinez, a Miss Philippines candidate.
Maureen is currently residing in Southern California in the US. In a previous post, she reflected on her life away from home.
“The longer I am here, the more I love it! I’ve met such incredible people, made the best friends, discovered I had family in Socal and so much more ❤️ I really encourage ya’ll to do something that scares you because it’ll always be worth it in the end,” she shared.
Meanwhile, Off Campus premiered on May 13 on Prime Video. The series is based on the book by Canadian author Elle Kennedy and follows a college student named Hannah Wells and hockey star Garrett Graham, whose unlikely arrangement eventually develops into romance.
The series stars Ella Bright as Hannah Wells and Belmont Cameli as Garrett Graham.
