Filipino-German model Maureen Wroblewitz shared that her family was finally complete for Christmas this year, which was something they hadn't experienced in a decade.

"It's been 10 years since we were complete on Christmas ✨ After our flights got rebooked, cancelled, double booked then rebooked to the next day at 10 p.m., my Dad asked me if it was still worth it - especially since we only planned a quick trip because of our cats," she posted on her Instagram page.

Despite the setbacks, Maureen said the experience reinforced the importance of choosing time with family, especially given life's unpredictability.

"And it made me realize that I couldn't remember the last time we were all reunited on Christmas. I didn't want to miss out because you never know. Having lost our Mom at 11, I didn't know that Christmas would be our last one together," she stated.

The Asia's Next Top Model season 5 winner went on: "I want to treasure all the time that I get to spend with family 🤍 So my answer will 'always' be yes. It's always worth it to see my family! Money comes back, but time doesn't!"

Maureen admitted that she got emotional making the post. "I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration 🎄❤️ p.s.: I’m crying typing this 😭 it’s so hard being a long distance sister ❤️‍🩹," she relayed.

Back in April, Maureen shared that it was over a year since she moved from the Philippines to the United States.

"It's been a little over a year since I moved here 🥹 i never officially posted that I left the Philippines but when I posted the first video on TikTok I was in the process of moving,” she posted on her Instagram page at that time.

Reflecting on the transition, Maureen shared how stepping out of her comfort zone helped her grow.

“Before I moved I told a friend how I was excited to leave my comfortable life back and start again and boy did I start again. It has definitely not been easy but i do have a habit of getting out of my comfort zone to grow as a person," she remarked.

She also noted how the move allowed her to further build meaningful connections.

"The longer I am here, the more I love it! I've met such incredible people, made the best friends, discovered I had family in Socal and so much more ❤️ I really encourage ya'll to do something that scares you because it'll always be worth it in the end," she concluded her post.
