Despite not taking home the title, Alexa Ilacad described her stint on Your Face Sounds Familiar Season 4 as nothing short of victorious and rewarding.
On her social media page, Alexa reflected on how she entered the competition with a simple yet deeply personal goal.
“I walked into Your Face Sounds Familiar: Season 4 with zero impersonation experience, no proper singing/dancing training & no title to my name— All I had was a goal and lots of courage,” Alexa admitted.
The Kapamilya star then looked back on her journey, emphasizing how each weekly challenge pushed her beyond her limits as she took on various personas on stage.
“Week after week, I gave it my everything—heart, hard work, and transformation. From my first icon to my last, you saw me grow, take risks, and step into shoes I never thought I could fill. 🥹,” she shared.
Alongside her reflections, Alexa expressed gratitude to the supporters who stood by her throughout the competition.
“I’ll never forget all the love, the reach, & how you embraced each and every single performance of mine. 😭 To my dollexas, I dedicate my whole journey to you. 🫶🏻
Alexa shared that her personal goal was to prove that she deserved her current title. Yet, beyond that, she was able to achieve something she’s proud of.
“I joined this competition to reintroduce myself to everyone. To prove that I deserve to be called a “Gen Z total performer,” she expressed. “I may not have taken home the title, but I’ve found something bigger— PURPOSE and PROOF that I belong here. 🥹♥️ And for that, I feel victorious. ✨ Thank you, ka-familiars!”
On the finale episode of the show, Alexa impressed viewers with her portrayal of Colombian superstar Shakira, performing the hit song “Whenever, Wherever.”
She earned praise from judges, mentors, fans, and fellow performers, garnering a score of 93.5 percent, which is a very close score from the 94 percent received by winning duo JM Dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano.
In another post, Alexa wrote: “Everything is a win when the goal is to experience ❤️🔥☺️ Shook my hips as the Queen of Latin pop, @shakira, for my final @yourfaceph transformation 💃🏻.”
Prior to the finale, she also went viral for her impersonations of Yeng Constantino and Ruffa Mae Quinto.
Following her Your Face Sounds Familiar journey, Alexa is set to star in the upcoming iWant offering The Chambermaid’s Daughter alongside BGYO member Gelo Rovera, under the direction of Theodore Boborol.
