The shoot was mainly directed by Eugene David and was photographed by Dookie Ducay. Alexa shared that she wanted to challenge the usual expectations placed on women turning 26, where birthday shoots often lean toward showing more skin or taking a more provocative route. This time, she chose to go agai`nst that narrative and present something more intentional and reflective of where she is in life.
The concept also ties into themes of self-love and duality, inspired by the Pisces fish symbol — mirroring the idea of embracing different sides of oneself.
“I’m in an era where I’m really focusing on myself, my goals, my career, my happiness.” Alexa shared that she is tapping into a different side of herself and wanted to show that to the people.
