The first look of Kapamilya stars Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra for their upcoming first-ever lead film, Almost Us, has been released through Regal Entertainment’s official social media accounts. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemates are giving their fans all the feels with just one photo.
Almost Us is set to screen in theaters nationwide starting this May 6 and will be directed by award-winning director, Dan Villegas.

In the photo that the production company shared, the two were looking at each other, showcasing the undeniable chemistry they have on screen. Fans were elated to see the first look for JMFyang’s first-ever lead film.
“FIRST LOOK pa lang, may 'almost.' May 'us.' May tingin na may meaning… pero walang aminan,” Regal Entertainment said in their caption.
The highly-anticipated film of the two comes after the success of their pairing in the Metro Manila Film Festival horror hit, Shake, Rattle, & Roll: Evil Origins and the hit iWant Originals series, Ghosting Parts 1 and 2.
The film’s director personally chose JM and Fyang to lead the projects and the screenplay was written by veteran romcom writer Miguel Sevilla. Almost Us is also a collaboration between Regal Entertainment and Project 8 Projects, the production company that Dan founded alongside award-winning director Antoinette Jadaone.

As the first look got lots of love from the fans, they are waiting for the official trailer to drop anytime soon. Fans expressed how excited they are for the first solo film of JMFyang who will definitely showcase their acting prowess once more.
“Na para bang pinaparamdam muna yung kilig at saya para mas tumatak daw yung twist—yung sasaktan tayo sa huli,” a fan wrote.
“Pakibilisan ang May 6 please! I am so excited to see my #JMFyang on the big screen again,” another fan added.
In a previous exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Fyang expressed how proud she is of JM who top-billed the Cinemalaya film, Child No. 82, despite not being part of the movie herself.
“Very nakaka-proud siya kasi makikita mo sa kanya na sobrang desidido na talagang gawin yung movie. At same time, sobrang happy ako sa kanya. Ako yung unang papalakpak sa kanya pag pinalabas na yung Child No. 82,” Fyang previously shared.
