The teaser for the new movie Midnight Girls starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Loisa Andalio, Jane Oineza, and Sanya Lopez has been released.
Shot in Japan, the teaser features the cast playing a group of Filipina entertainers working in the country
"Lalaban tayo girls, ha? Hindi tayo pinalaki ng SexBomb para bumawi. Laban," Jodi's character can be heard saying in the teaser.
According to the logline published by CBO on YouTube, Midnight Girls is set in Nagoya, Japan, where "four Filipina entertainers form a sisterhood while facing the emotional cost of their jobs. Together, they must decide what they are truly willing to sacrifice for their dreams in a foreign land."
The movie is set to be released on May 13. It is directed by Irene Villamor, who recently directed the blockbuster hit The Loved One.
Fans online were quick to react to the teaser.
