MANILA -- The much-awaited historical biopic "Quezon," starring Jericho Rosales as Manuel L. Quezon, has been rated PG by the Movie & Television Review & Classification Board (MTRCB).
This was confirmed by TBA Studios on Monday, September 29 through a social media post.
According to MTRCB website, "A PG classification advises parents or supervising adults that the film may contain any of the following: themes, language, violence, nudity, sex, and horror, whose treatment is suitable for children below 13 years of age."
Following its October 15 premiere in Philippine theaters, "Quezon" will have its international festival debut at the 45th Hawai’i International Film Festival on October 26 at Consolidated Kahala Theater and October 28 at Consolidated Kapolei Theater.

Under the direction of Jerrold Tarog, the movie follows the life of Quezon, a Filipino lawyer and soldier who became the president of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1944.

"Quezon" marks the conclusion of TBA Studios' cinematic "Bayaniverse," a series of films based on Philippine history that includes box office hits "Heneral Luna," which stars Arcilla, and "Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral."
Also part of the "Quezon" cast are Mon Confiado (Emilio Aguinaldo), Benjamin Alves (younger Quezon), Romnick Sarmenta (Sergio Osmeña), JC Santos (Manuel Roxas), Karylle (Aurora Quezon) and Cris Villanueva (older Joven Hernando, the only fictional character in the film series).
