MANILA -- Actor Baron Geisler expressed gratitude for joining ABS-CBN’s hit series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, where he plays one of the newest characters, Rockyboy Mondragon.
In a video released by CCM Film Productions and Dreamscape Entertainment, Geisler said he was humbled by the warm welcome from the cast and crew.
“I’m just grateful that I’m part of this awesome cast, this awesome story, this awesome No. 1 Primetime Bida show. Nakaka-humble,” he said, adding that working with director Coco Martin and the team helped ease his nerves and insecurities about the role.
"Napaka-supportive ng lahat ng mga tao dito -- the staff, the crew, cameramen are amazing as well. Professional lahat. In-embrace lang nila ako," he said.
Geisler also teased a potential twist in his character’s dynamic. “Sana, may konting wish na magkakampi kami for a while ni Coco, ni Tanggol. It would be nice for viewers to see that ‘uy, nagsama si direk Coco, nagsama si Baron na laging magkalaban,’ kahit minsan lang,” he said, hinting at a surprising alliance in the storyline.
Geisler's character was introduced last week, along with that of screen veteran Roi Vinzon.
"Spoiled brat, mayaman at gahaman sa power. Doon niyo makikita ang dynamic ko with the other families here in this series," Geisler said about his character.
In episode 678 of "Batang Quiapo," Rockyboy and Brando were shown arriving at the victory party of the Guerrero family. This was after Miguelito Guerrero (Jake Cuenca) won against the show's lead character Tanggol (Coco Martin) in the mayoral race in Manila.

"Batang Quiapo", which debuted in February 2023, airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, and TV5. It's also available on iWantTFC and TFC.
