MANILA -- "Saving Grace," the Philippine adaptation of Japan's hit drama "Mother," has received two nominations at this year's Seoul International Drama Awards.
Produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, "Saving Grace" starring Julia Montes and Sharon Cuneta, was nominated for Best Series and Best Screenwriter for Danica Domingo et al, this was confirmed by the award-giving body via a release uploaded on its website.
For Best Series, “Saving Grace” is competing against “D.I.D. 12” (Hong Kong), “Emerald Hill: The Little Nyonya Story” (Singapore), “For Eagle Brothers” (South Korea), “She’s the One” (Brazil), “The Beach” S2 (Greece), “The Good & The Bad” (Turkiye), and “The Nightfall” (Turkiye).
"Saving Grace," which also stars child actress Zia Grace, follows the story of Montes' lead character teacher Anna, who gets involved with the life of her student Grace (Zia Grace). Teacher Anna tries to help Grace, who is suffering from abuse by her own mother, played by Jennica Garcia.
Also in the cast are Jennica Garcia, Sam Milby, Christian Bables, Janice de Belen, Elisse Joson and more.
In a statement, ABS-CBN thanked Seoul International Drama Awards for the nominations.
The 2025 Seoul International Drama's awarding ceremony will be held at the KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea on October 2.
