Michael Bublé shared his reaction to the win of his mentee, Sofronio Vasquez, in the season 26 of The Voice.

Reflecting on the triumph of Sofronio in the competition, Michael highlighted that the singer's victory serves as a ray of hope for the Filipino singer's family.

"I can't imagine what it must feel like for him. We don't know, I'd know, but you all don't know the adversity this kid's been through. You don't know that there's been real life stuff happening at home with family, real serious stuff," Michael said in an interview with Access Hollywood.

"And the fact that he's come through all of this and he knows they are watching him and he is the reason that they are able to get up and keep going, I don't think that there has ever been a competition, a television program in America where the stakes were so high for a person. And so I think... I know that when they called your name tonight it wasn't just about a career it was a bigger thing."

Sofronio echoed what Michael said, stating: "It was hope for my family, and I was able to give them the best holiday ever and I know that up above they are watching me and very happy for me."

On what advice he gave the Filipino singer prior to the finals night, Michael shared: "I just called him I said my brother God has plans for you and I don't know if the plan is for you to win The Voice but if it isn't, there is a plan to do it another way. And I'll be there behind you to support you, and I'm glad that this was the choice that the Lord made for him and I hope last night that I gave him peace with that."

Meanwhile, in an interview with Yong Chavez for ABS-CBN News, Sofronio remarked that each of his performances in the competition was his way of honoring his late father's passion for music.

"My dad was just an angel and every performance I always think of him in honor for his passion for music... And during the last performance for the finale like with the song 'A Million Dreams,' I really feel that he was with me and in any way."

On how he overcame the challenges he encountered in his life, Sofronio relayed: "I really think that the way to move on and to move further for a possible and a beautiful journey in life is just to keep going."

"We just have to try and dream. I was just dreaming. It was really impossible to think back then. And that moment when Carson Daly called my name, parang nag-break down ako because it's like a flashback of every rejection, every redirection na oh ito pala 'yun... Now it was like a culmination of ito pala 'yun, thank you Lord," he stated.
