The star-studded 17th Star Awards for Music celebrated Original Pilipino Music (OPM) with the country’s biggest artists last night at Teatrino in San Juan.
Major awards went to James Reid for Album of the Year ("jgh") and Maki for Song of the Year ("Dilaw"). Both the big winners dedicated their trophies to their fans and team.
Moira Dela Torre earned the Female Recording Artist of the Year, which Sarah Geronimo has won several times before. She also transported the guests to her world with her emotional finale performance.
Ben&Ben, meanwhile, took home the Group/Duo Artist of the Year.
Other highlights of the 17th Star Awards for Music included Gloc-9's appearance when he presented Andrew E with the lifetime achievement award, Salbakuta's reunion on stage, and Ima Castro's emotional tribute song to Celeste Legaspi.
