MANILA -- Just a few more days before ASAP in England lights up Birmingham! Kapamilya stars are in full swing with rehearsals for the much-anticipated celebration of the Sunday noontime variety show happening at the BP Pulse Arena on August 30.
Among the most excited performers is Maymay Entrata, who is looking forward to her first-ever show in Birmingham.
Singer Sofronio Vasquez also shared his excitement, as this will be his first time performing with "ASAP" outside the Philippines.
“So it’s very exciting, nakakatuwa. And ayun, may iilan na akong mga Kapamilyang nag-message sa atin na they are very excited. Not just for me, but the whole cast of 'ASAP.' Because it’s going to be... parang reunion ng mga Pilipino... A week to go, ano na kami gearing up,” he said.
Actor Joshua Garcia is also raring to go, marking his first trip to London. “Really excited and now nagsho-shoot ako excited na ako mag-ahit, mag-shave, cut my hair and first time ko sa London! Ang tagal na din nung last nag-out of the country -- LA ata -- so really excited to do 'ASAP,' magsasayaw ako,” Garcia said.
Darren Espanto, meanwhile, shared how meaningful the show will be for Filipinos in England who have been longing for a taste of home.
So for us to be able to bring a piece to the Philippines to them saka para maging parte sila ng cultural experience, madaming Kapamilya naho-homesick,” he noted.
"ASAP in England" promises to deliver a spectacular showcase of world-class Filipino talent, bringing together Kapamilya stars and OPM icons for one unforgettable night.
The show will take place on August 30 at the BP Pulse Arena, Birmingham.
