With both fans and fellow artists still on a high after experiencing SB19’s highly successful and much raved about Simula at Wakas concert held last May 31 and June 1 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, another witness to how unforgettable a show it was is Inka Magnaye, who was hired as a voiceover talent during the busy two-day event.

In her Instagram post last June 6, Inka shared in a reel how director Paolo Valenciano decided to surprise the day 2 crowd of the concert with an unprecedented announcer reveal during the show. Inka admitted that this was the first time for her to do something like this during a live event.

“Live voiceover reveal on Day 2. They told me to hide lmao. It’s 2025 and people are cheering for live announcers. PInch me I’m dreaming. Slightly sheepish but elated. I really was not expecting to show myself. This was Direk Pao’s idea, something that’s never been done before. Thank you Direk!!”

Inka, who had worked with Paolo Valenciano in previous projects, couldn’t help but show gratitude to the concert director for giving an unexpected spotlight that day.

She wrote, “The first ever live announcer reveal in the history of events, from the mind of Direk @paolovalenciano 😆 I was used to being a live VO. That meant we were just part of the prod, just a way for announcements to be made. Then Direk Pao comes in and first, puts me in the credits of his shows, and then now puts my face up on the big screen at the Philippine Arena. As a VO, please pinch me I must be dreaming 😂 Pao, yer the best 🤗 @officialsb19 Boys, I am honored to have been a part of your show 🙏 A’tin, you all are the sweetest bunch in the world 🏽”

During the opening day of the concert, Inka also shared how she started off the program with a voice over greeting the crowd. She wrote in her post how she was inspired by all the fans of the popular P-pop group at the Philippine Arena during that day, “A’tin, your energy on Day 1 was amazing!! Let’s do it again for Day 2. See you later! #sb19simulaatwakas Side note, this is probably one of the worst echoes I’ve ever had to work with 😆.”

As one of the most popular voice over artists in the country, Inka has been known to share some behind-the-scenes moments of her work on Instagram, showing the hard work and discipline to pull off the requirements of each event she accepts.

Earlier this year, the in demand content creator and podcaster called out a fake price list for her voiceover services that had been circulating online claiming she charges half a million pesos per project to her clients.

“This is absolutely false information. I have never in my life charged an amount as exorbitant as that for any event I've done in my whole career. Even when I was with my former management who used to overcharge without me knowing, they never charged that much. To be transparent, my fee can be on the higher side of things, but I am always negotiable and open to working with the budget considering the workload. So I’m posting this to clear the air,” she wrote in a post.
