It's Showtime unlocked a fresh milestone on December 6 as the noontime show introduced its first ever “It’s Showtime AWAAARD,” a fun and witty recognition of the madlang hosts in celebration of their 16th anniversary. For the first time, those friendly clashes on stage, the laro moments, the ultimate dogshow energy, and even the most random hosting incidents finally became award-worthy.

Hosting the celebration were Ryan Bang and Jackie Gonzaga, together with guest host Barbie Forteza. They were joined by invited presenters such as Angeline Quinto, Chanda Romero, Gus Abelgas, Kyline Alcantara, Negi, Iyah Mina, Petite, Ralph De Leon, Esnyr, and Klarisse De Guzman who helped hype up the crowd and bring the awards to life.

The laughter immediately exploded when the “HA? HAKDOG AWARD” was announced, a recognition for those who mispronounce and get words wrong on air. Anne Curtis and Jhong Hilario won the award, with Jhong recreating his legendary “Fillet Mignon” moment on Sine Mo 'To. Jhong proudly said, “Salamat, first award ko sa Showtime ‘to. Hindi man ako na-nominate as best host, at least dito nanalo ako.” The Pambansang Dyosa was not able to attend the awarding, but still, the madlang people laughed on her ultimate bulol moments.

Then came the “SABLAY SUPREMACY AWARD,” dedicated to those who always have funny mishaps on camera. The winner was Vhong Navarro, who took the trophy with so much pride. “32 years na ko sa industry, ngayon lang ako nakahawak ng ganitong award,” Vhong said joking as if he was emotional. “Asahan niyo po sa 2026, mas marami pa tayong gagawin na sablay,” he added.

Everyone then cheered for Jugs Jugueta who won the “DRESS IN PEACE AWARD,” made for those who need a new style inspiration. All remembered his Fuji Apple outfit and thanked the staff for pushing him to wear it. He even turned to his wife Andie on TV, and joked, “Love, trabaho lang.”

The jokes continued with the “NATUTULOG BA NAG JOKE AWARD” for jokes that fell flat. The winners were Kim Chiu and Ryan, who always shoot their shot even when the punchline does not land. Then he ended with, “Anong award ang laging nagso-sorry? Edi PatAward,” which once again proved why he is deserving of the award.

Ogie Alcasid and Jackie  were honored with the “G NA GINA ALAJAR AWARD” for always being game for anything. Jackie got turned her speech into a hugot moment and said, “Ganon po talaga pag nagmamahal, ibibigay mo lahat.” Ogie then shared how much he loves his It's Showtime family: “Alam niyo po isa itong testimonya ng pagtitiyaga at pagpupursigi. ‘Yan ang nagpapatunay na ako ay G na G. Lahat ay gagawin ko para sa aking Showtime Family.”

Of course, a standout transformation deserves appreciation, so Vice took home the “GLOW UP AWARD.” The comedy icon then showed a funny picture of Teddy Corpuz to the Madlang People, saying he should have also been recognized for glow-up struggles.

When the “PHYSICAL HOSTING AWARD” was announced, everyone was applauding and shouting. It went to the unstoppable trio of Vice, Vhong, and Jhong, known for getting physical while hosting. Vhong explained, “Hindi namin akalain na matatanggap namin ang award na ‘to kasi sobrang mahal namin ang isa’t isa kaya never namin sasaktan ang isa’t isa.”

Vice jokingly insisted that sometimes it really hurts, but they push through for the laughter of the viewers: “Minsan masakit na talaga pero tinitiis namin sa ngalan ng pagpapatawa.” Jhong promised, “Makakaasa kayo next week meron ulit,” which made the audience clap and cheer for more. With the trio’s emotional but hilarious acceptance speech, madlang people went asking for more physical hosting in the future.

The “WORDS OF WISDOM AWARD” gave another win to Vhong, who is known for simple lines that stay in everyone’s minds. Everyone did not expect his win as Vice and Kim  had multiple nominations for various emotional and strong quotes they once delivered. The It's Showtime hosts could not help but to react when Vhong was hailed as the winner just through one quote. He said, “Hindi kailangan mahaba magsalita basta magmamarka ka.” And true enough, his quotable quote “Crush is paghanga” became a certified classic.

Finally, the most emotional moment came with the “CRY ‘YAN CAYABYAB AWARD,” given to those who bring raw and genuine feelings to the screen. Vice, Ion Perez, and Ryan received the honors. Ion thanked Showtime for accepting him for who he is. Ryan recalled the hardest moments of his journey and said, “Kayo lang talaga yung family ko dito.” Meanwhile, Vice reminded everyone that It's Showtime is not just a show, saying, “Maraming salamat sa madalang people for allowing us to laugh and cry in front of you with authenticity and honesty. Maraming maraming salamat dahil hindi namin kailangang magpanggap at magtago ng nararamdaman namin. Malaya kaming nakakapaglabas ng damdamin namin dahil napagkakatiwalaan namin kayo. Dahil madlang people, kayo ang safe space namin.”

According to the hosts, some awards were not presented due to time restriction, but the madlang people will definitely see who comes next to the list.

Before the awarding, It's Showtime already went full out all week long with their performances in MagRAPasikat, MagPOPsikat, DANCEpasikat, ROCKpasikat, and DRAGpasikat, each day a new surprise and celebration of talent.

After sixteen years of spreading fun and good vibes, It’s Showtime remains one of the happiest places on TV, where hilarious bloopers are celebrated, jokes are valued, and everyone has a space to shine.
