The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corp. said Tuesday it expects heavy traffic along the expressway this coming weekend due to the concert of K-pop sensation Blackpink at the Philippine Arena.

The four-piece act is set to take the stage of the Bulacan venue on November 22 and 23 for their "Deadline" tour.

"Heavy traffic is expected in the area during the event [from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.]," the NLEX Corp. said in a statement.

"Motorists are encouraged to load RFID accounts and plan their trips in advance," it said.

Concertgoers were advised to take the NLEX Ciudad de Victoria exit, while motorists bound for Bocaue or Santa Maria were urged to use alternate routes via the Marilao, Bocaue or Tambubong exits.

The NLEX Corp. assured traffic personnel would be deployed along NLEX-covered areas to provide assistance to motorists.

The "Deadline" shows mark Blackpink's return to the Philippines after more than two years. Their last visit was in March 2023 for the two-day "Born Pink" tour, also held at the Philippine Arena.

Member Jisoo, however, held a solo fan meeting at the Araneta Coliseum in March as part of promotions for her extended play "Amortage."
