Filipino rock band Franco will not be able to perform in this year's Sinulog festival as its frontman, Franco Reyes, figured in an accident.
He is currently under medical supervision, according to a post on the band's social media pages on Thursday.
"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the band will not be able to perform at Sinulog 2025 in Cebu due to an accident involving Franco Reyes," the statement read, not giving further details.
"We deeply regret not being able to join the celebration this year but remain optimistic about returning to the stage as soon as possible under better circumstances," it added.
Franco started in 2008 as a supergroup composed of members from different bands: Reyes of InYo and Frank, Urbandub's Gabby Alipe and JanJan Mendoza, Parokya ni Edgar's Buwi Meneses, and Queso's Ocho Toleran.
Reyes is the only original member left in the band, which is known for songs like "Song for the Suspect," "Touch the Sky," and "A Beautiful Diversion."
