Pia Wurtzbach is stepping up her efforts to champion women empowerment as the new co-chair of the 2025 summit of She Talks Asia (STA).
The local women empowerment community and advocacy agency made the announcement on its social media pages over the weekend.
STA CEO and co-founder Lynn Pinugu cited Wurtzbach's "unwavering commitment to using her platform for meaningful change" as the reason why they invited her to join them in "creating spaces where women empower one another to rise, lead, and thrive."
"Together, we are excited to spark more conversations about celebrating bold dreams and brave steps forward," Pinugu said.
Wurtzbach, for her part, said she is "incredibly excited to contribute my voice and ideas" to the 2025 STA Summit, which will be held in March next year.
"Uplifting others, especially women, is something I've always been passionate about," she said. "It's an honor to work with a platform and like-minded souls who have the same values, mission, and advocacy."
Aside from the annual summit, STA features inspiring female leaders through its podcast and other online content.
Celebrities such as Bianca Gonzalez, Iza Calzado, and Sarah Meier are also part of the group as co-founders.
