Content creator and PBA courtside reporter Apple David has once again spoken up and denied grooming allegations about her relationship with 18-year-old basketball player Chad Gammad. In a series of live videos, she answered questions from netizens, which they screen-recorded and shared on various social media platforms.
Apple has been a hot topic on social media for the past few weeks after she confirmed her relationship with Chad. Netizens have mixed reactions to their relationship as the content creator is 33 years old, 15 years older than her boyfriend.

“Di ko siya ginugroom, wala sa qualifications. Yung nangyayari sa amin, malayong malayo sa grooming so wag niyong ipilit,” she maintained.
Despite denying the allegations, she said people are free to think whatever they want and even challenged them to file a complaint so it could be investigated, and the discussion could end.
“Pero kung gusto niyong ipilit, again, go. Story niyo yan. Kung sa tingin niyo, yun yung case na nangyayari, bakit hindi niyo ireklamo at ipaimbestiga ng malaman niyo din naman. Okay din sa akin ’yun para ma-clarify na walang ganun,” she asserted.
In a separate video, Apple maintained that people are also free to unfollow her if they feel uncomfortable with what she’s been posting. Recently, she hard-launched their relationship in a video on her TikTok account, which has amassed thousands of views as of this writing.
“Of course walang masama kahit ipost ko pa lahat nung mga pictures namin. Love life ko yun at tsaka page ko yun eh. Pwede naman kayong mag unfollow, wag nalang kayong tumingin. O kaya, pumikit nalang kayo para hindi niyo makita. Hindi kayo maging uncomfortable or hindi kayo mabwiset,” she expressed.

When questioned about her employment status, the 33-year-old content creator assured her fans that the companies that she works for understand the situation and even revealed that she is getting more inquiries.
“So yung initial goal na to cancel me, nung nalaman naman ng companies, nalaman ng work ko yung buong kwento. Nung nalaman nila yung buong kwento, and that there’s no reason for the judgment, then there’s also no reason to terminate my contract or to park me… Walang ganun na nangyari guys kasi it’s baseless,” she said.
Apple then expressed how “social media is just noise” and attributed the cancel culture to fans of K-Dramas and K-Pop.
“That social media is just noise. May cancel culture lang kasi kakanood ng K-Drama at kakahilig sa Koreans lalo na sa X. Mga Korean fans, K-Pop fans talagang cancel culture akala mo naman parehas ang Pilipinas at ang Korea. Pero again, trip niyo yan go ahead,” she ended.
