Cristine Reyes revealed the possible timeline for her wedding to fiancé Gio Tingson.
“May date na. Baka next year po, first quarter, if not this year,” she said in an interview with Boy Abunda on Fast Talk.
The actress also revealed that some people have already volunteered to be part of their wedding entourage.
"Meron ng nagvo-volunteer [na] ninong, ninang sila," she said.
It was on May 20 when Christine announced her engagement to Gio.
In her engagement post on social media, Cristine wrote: "Every timeline led here. Endgame unlocked. 💍"
The actress explained in the interview the meaning behind the caption.
"Parang symbolic siya for me and Gio dahil lahat ng stages ng buhay namin, nagtatagpo kami tapos until the very end kami pa rin pala hanggang sa huli. So 'yun talaga 'yung ibig sabihin nun," she shared.
Cristine relayed that she first met Gio during grade school at a school fair. Since they belonged to the same group of friends, the two remained connected through the years.
"May constant ano, may 'MU' ganoon and everybody knows it naman like my friends and friends niya alam na parang may tension sa aming dalawa pero we don't really engage. Kasi may individual life kami noon. May sarili siyang partner noon, ako rin nagkakaroon. Kapag nagkikita kami merong tension," she recounted.
They eventually reconnected at a time when both of them were single.
In the same interview, the actress also opened up about Gio’s proposal, which happened at her home on a Sunday morning before they went to church.
"May dala siyang paper bag na maliit. Parang nakakutob ako. Kasi knowing Gio at saka alam niya ako, we don't want something super spectacle, super grand. So when I saw it at 'yung face parang seryoso ay naramdaman ko na. Alam ko na, ito na 'yun. So I immediately called Amarah (her daughter). Parang instinct ko lang. Parang I want to have a recording, documentation of this special moment na lahat ng babae pinapangarap na someone na mangangako na makasama ka habangbuhay. So sabi ko instinctively 'Amarah, record this,'" she relayed.

She went on: "Tapos ako umupo na ako, seryoso na si Gio tapos bigla siyang lumuhod. Tapos he popped the question, 'Will you marry me?' Hindi pa ako agad nakasagot parang overwhelming 'yung feeling, bumuhos ang emotion, umiyak agad, nagyakapan kami, 'di pa ako nakasalita ng yes. Pero based on my reaction it's yes. Hindi ko nasabi, he had to ask agad, 'Ano, yes?' I said, 'yes.'"
