These were the words that Kim Atienza popularized when he was still a weather reporter at ABS-CBN. Every time he would deliver his report on TV Patrol in the past, he would always end it with this statement to remind the viewers of what life really is: weather weather lang.
This catchphrase has been used by netizens on social media each time they face challenges in their lives.
It was back in 2021 when he last shared the popularized catchphrase before formally bidding farewell to his network of over 17 years. Kuya Kim's departure came as a surprise to the viewers, but just like what he would usually say, ang buhay ay weather weather lang.
In his emotional farewell, Kuya Kim expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped him in his career.
“Higit sa lahat, salamat sa inyo mga Kapamilya sa inyong pagsubaybay at pag suporta. Si Kuya Kim ay hindi magiging Kuya Kim kung hindi po dahil sa inyo. Sa paglisan man sa istasyon ito na itinuring kong second home, kailanman ay hindi ako makakalimot. Mananatili sa puso ko at babaunin ang lahat ng mga naranasan at natutunan ko sa ABS-CBN sa loob ng 17 na taon,” he previously shared.
“Natutunan ko na gaano man karami o katindi ang mga bagyong dumadaan sa ating buhay, mahalagang manatiling buhay ang pag-asa, pananampalataya sa Diyos, at pagmamahal ng Kapamilya.”
“For the last time, sa huling pagkakataon, ang buhay ay weather weather lang. Hanggang sa muli, Kapamilya. Salamat po,” he ended.
Kuya Kim would then host programs on the Kapuso network, but viewers would always remember the iconic catchphrase he popularized on ABS-CBN.
