Celebrity couple Alfred and Yasmine Vargas revealed that they have pulled out their son from the swimming club they’re part of. In an Instagram post, she explained how difficult the decision was to make but had to do so for the sake of their children’s “overall well-being.”
The couple previously claimed that the alleged bully of their child repeatedly pushed and held their son underwater during training sessions.
This move made by Alfred and Yasmine comes after the alleged bullying that their children have been receiving in the past couple of weeks.
“After much reflection, many difficult conversations, and careful consideration as parents, our family has made the painful decision to withdraw our children from the Sharknado Swimming Club,” Yasmine shared.
The celebrity mom maintained that if only things were handled "quietly", the outcome would’ve been much different. She expressed how the priority for her and her husband are their children’s safety and peace of mind.
“We sincerely hoped matters could still be handled quietly, peacefully, and in a way that would protect the well-being of all the children involved. However, as parents, there comes a point when you must prioritize your children’s emotional welfare, peace of mind, and overall well-being above all else,” she expressed.
Though they have pulled their children out from the club, the parents expressed their gratitude towards the coaches who have helped their son improve his skills as an athlete.
“For now, our focus is on helping our children heal, protecting their welfare. We continue to hope that, in time, understanding, accountability, justice, and compassion will prevail for everyone involved,” she maintained.

Yasmine then clarified in the same post that the school her son has been attending is not connected to any incident that has transpired as it happened outside of their premises.
“To be fair to our son’s school, that the incident being referred to did not happen within the school premises or during any school activity. The other party involved is also not enrolled in the same school as our son. The incident took place during swimming trainings and a competition outside the school setting,” she cleared.
In a previous interview with Kapamilya broadcaster Karen Davila, both Alfred and Yasmine urged fellow parents to speak up against the bullying, assuring them that they aren’t alone in the fight.
