Celebrity couple Alfred and Yasmine Vargas have decided to take extra steps to protect their family as they filed 20 counts of cyber libel earlier this week. In a shared Instagram post, the two shared how they could no longer remain silent and were pushed to the decision of taking legal action.

This move comes after Alfred and Yasmine filed a criminal complaint against the parents of their son’s alleged bully.

“In recent days, our family has been in the spotlight after we made the difficult decision to stand up for our son. I am deeply thankful for the messages of support we’ve received, as well as the sincere questions from those who wish to understand what happened. I would like to respond with clarity and respect,” the joint post shared.

Yasmine expressed her gratitude to everyone that showed their support towards their family–– finding strength in the encouraging messages that they receive. Despite this, there are still harsh words that were said which they simply couldn’t pass.

“But there comes a point when silence is no longer an option.

The couple admitted how difficult the decision was to file 20 counts of cyber libel but maintained it had to be done.

For Yasmine, enough is enough as she asserted that the claims are false which are meant to “damage” their name and reputation.

She asked the public for kindness and refrain from spreading negativity especially on social media.

“Bullying, in any form, has no place in our community,” she ended.
