Kapamilya star Gerald Anderson revealed the reason he’s not rushing into getting back into the dating scene. During the recent episode of Stars on Stars with Baron Geisler, the Blood vs Duty actor shared that he is focusing on himself for his future.
Gerald’s last publicly known relationship was with actress Julia Barretto, whom he dated for several years before parting ways in 2025.

“Since you’re officially single, do you plan on focusing on yourself?” Baron asked.
“Plan on focusing on myself? Yeah. That’s all I’ve been doing. Yun lang naman yung dahilan kung bakit din ako single,” Gerald expressed.
The Kapamilya actor added how focusing will allow him to become a better version of himself, not just for him but for everyone around him.
“That’s the only reason I’m single now because you know I want to become a better partner, a better person, a better son, a better brother, a better provider. Magagawa ko yan if I focus on myself muna,” he continued.
It’s because of his self-improvement plan that Gerald said he’s been doing so much. Apart from acting, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate has also dabbled in business and has been physically active.
“I’m building the life I want in five years. I want to be that kind of person–– I want to be the best version… I have to start now so focus muna ako sa sarili ko,” he ended.

Recently, Gerald made his debut as a film producer with the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Rekonek, in which he also starred as one of the actors. He previously opened up about the challenges of the new role.
“Madaming challenges. Finance, schedule ng artista, yung shoot mismo, MMFF, kung makakapasok kami. I think out of 50 entries, walo lang ang pipiliin. We were announced top four. So dun pa lang, malaking press na yan and malaking opportunity. So nung na-announce kami, sabi namin, ‘Tara! 100% ituloy na natin ito,” he previously shared,
