Kapamilya actors JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith revealed that they both felt the pressure as they join the cast of the upcoming Prime series, Love is Never Gone. During the mediacon earlier this week, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemates shared some of their learnings from the experience.
JM will be playing the role of Ronnie Manalang, the best friend of Teo (portrayed by Joshua Garcia) while Fyang will be Raya Verona, the youngest daughter of the Verona family.
The Kapamilya actor revealed that they were focused on absorbing all the learnings that they could get from their co-stars and the entire production team.
“Kami honestly ni Fyang, una palang ang nasa mata namin yung knowledge na ma-adapt namin working with these veteran actors kahit sila direk Manny [Palo], sila direk Jojo [Saguin]. Dun kami nakafocus,” JM expressed.
While there was pressure on their end, he added how they didn’t succumb to it and just enjoyed the process.
“Siyempre, mas nangingibabaw yung pressure, yung kaba kasi first time namin mag-ganitong klase ng series. Siguro, hindi na lang kami nagpapatalo sa pressure, sa kaba na nafe-feel namin. Siguro mas naka-focus kami sa ma-a-adapt sa project na 'to –– sa matutunan namin after gawin 'tong project na 'to,” he added.
Fyang agreed with JM and expressed how they still feel nervous about working with the veteran actors.
“Of course, ito yung first series with JM din and kasama yung mga veteran actors and actresses, grabe. At tsaka yung time na nag storycon palang kami, grabe na yung kaba naming dalawa kasi nga first [time],” she said.

“Hanggang ngayon na patapos na yung series na 'to, sobrang grabe pa din ng kaba namin kasi siyempre kailangan naming aralin ano yung roles namin,” she continued.
The Kapamilya actress noted how “generous” the actors have been to them, especially in scenes when they need it the most. As she plays the role of Raya, she will be having scenes with veteran stars such as Dina Bonnevie and Michael De Mesa, who play the roles of Katarina and Divino Verona, respectively.
“Of course, yung mga co-actors naman namin sobrang generous nila. Pag kunwari nahihirapan ka na sa eksena mo, pag nadr-drain ka na, very generous lahat ng kasama namin dito,” she ended.
Love is Never Gone is top-billed by Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi and is the first-ever Filipino series shot in Morocco. It will be available for streaming starting on May 8, exclusively on Prime.
