One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson has unfollowed his former bandmate Zayn Malik on Instagram following a reported fistfight.
As of Sunday, April 19, Louis is no longer following Zayn on the platform which quickly caught the attention of fans and sparked speculation online. Meanwhile, Louis is still one of the 17 accounts that Zayn follows.

The update comes amid a report from The Sun, which claimed that the two singers were involved in an altercation while filming an upcoming Netflix docuseries.
According to the outlet, tensions reportedly escalated during production, with Zayn allegedly making a remark about Louis’ late mother, Johannah Deakin, who died of leukemia in 2016.

“Louis was stunned and in shock. Zayn was wearing rings so it cut his head. It happened outside in front of so many people,” The Sun wrote.
Further details from the outlet’s source described how the situation unfolded, saying that Zayn “started acting up and was mouthing off” during the filming. After Zayn made an alleged remark about Louis’ mother, the latter was said to be “stunned and in shock”. As he went to move, Zayn then allegedly attacked him.
“Zayn punched him straight in the face. Because he was wearing rings it cut Louis’ head,” The Sun wrote.
“He was pulled away and Louis was taken for medical treatment. He was left with a concussion. This happened outside in front of so many people. It was shocking,” it continued.

Neither Louis nor Zayn, along with their respective teams, have publicly addressed the reports. As of writing, Netflix has also yet to comment on whether the project will continue or be placed on hold.
Meanwhile, Louis continues to follow fellow former bandmates Harry Styles and Niall Horan, as well as the late Liam Payne.
For now, fans are left with more questions than answers, holding on to the hope that clarity will eventually come from the artists themselves.
