Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban shared her thoughts on some of the showbiz newcomers. In an interview with television personality Ganiel Krishnan, she recalled her brief encounter with an unnamed rising artist.
“Ako kasi nao-offend talaga ako ‘pag hindi namamansin,” she admitted.

Angelica added that the new artists don’t need to be all friendly to her but exchanging pleasantries with one another is just common courtesy that she was hoping for.
“Hindi mo naman kailangan mag-beso. Parang nayayabangan lang talaga ako dun sa… ano ba naman ‘yung mag-hi ka,” she added.
When asked how many she encountered, the Kapamilya star revealed that she has unfortunately experienced it with many new artists that she has come across.
“Ang dami talaga. Syempre minsan hindi mo na sila kilala tapos maloloka nalang ako na ha? Artista yun? Hindi siya namamansin ah,” she maintained.
She then shared how it was quite different in the past when she was still in their shoes, being one of the up and coming stars in the showbiz industry then. She recalled having to take the initiative to introduce herself to the veteran artists she came across with–– a practice she believes goes across all industries.
“Wala, kami talaga ‘yung lalapit–– kami ‘yung magpapakilala kasi ganun eh. Magbibigay-pugay ka. I think kahit saang environment naman,” she expressed.

This isn’t the first time Angelica has talked about the younger generation of artists. During her acceptance speech at the Star Magical Christmas Ball in 2022 where she received her loyalty award for being with Star Magic for 28 years, she gave a piece of advice to the younger stars about longevity in the industry.
“Kailangan niyong maging mabait sa lahat ng katrabaho niyo, sa lahat ng staff, ng crew, ng utility, [dahil] lahat ng iyon, magiging boss niyo one day. Maniwala kayo sa akin,” she previously shared.
“Maging mabait kayo sa lahat. Huwag kayong puchu-puchung mga artista. Huwag kayong charot-charot. Ayusin niyo from the beginning at gamitin niyo ang talent ninyo,” she continued.
