BINI is still in awe following their successful first weekend and debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026, where they were met with unwavering Filipino support and surprisingly massive crowd despite their early set time.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the Nation’s Girl Group opened up about their initial doubts and eventual wonder upon seeing the sea of people gathered for them.

BINI performed 10 songs during their 45-minute set at the Mojave Stage, the second-largest tent in the festival, on April 10 at 4:15 p.m. (PDT) or April 11 at 7:15 a.m. (Philippine time).
According to the octet, they did not expect such a large audience, especially with their afternoon schedule, as Coachella crowds are typically bigger at night. Still, they managed to draw a jam-packed audience composed of both Filipino and international festival goers.
Sheena revealed that before stepping on stage, they were even checking their phones and wondering if people would show up given the early time slot and the intense heat.
“Pero nung pumasok kami nung intro ng ‘Shagidi’, punong-puno. Nakataas ‘yung Philippine flag, ang daming Blooms, ang daming casuals. We just can’t believe na ganoon kadaming tao ang nag-abang sa amin,” she expressed.

Inside the Mojave tent, Blooms waved Philippine flags and even their Bloombilyas, the group’s official lightstick. Some had also waited for hours just to secure a good spot.
“Dahil sa nakita naming crowd, tumaas ‘yung confidence namin. Doon kami kumuha ng lakas buong show,” Sheena continued.
Colet echoed this sentiment, noting how both Blooms and casual listeners vibed with them, especially during their performance of “Out of My Head,” which helped ease their nerves and allowed them to fully enjoy the moment.
“Talagang naka-ngiti kami all throughout. Sobrang saya lang na makita yung support talaga ng lahat ng tao na nanood, even sa livestream,” she added.
Apart from “Out of My Head,” the crowd was also heard singing along to fan favorites like “Salamin, Salamin” and “Pantropiko,” highlighting the group’s growing global reach.
For Colet, hearing Filipino lyrics resonate with an international audience was particularly meaningful.
“Sobrang halaga po noon kasi nare-recognize at naa-acknowledge yung hardwork na ginagawa naming BINI,” Colet said.
BINI’s leader Jhoana, meanwhile, shared how the experience exceeded all their expectations.
“Noong natapos na, happy lang ako kasi hindi naman kami nage-expect na may sisigaw sa amin eh. Parang okay na sa amin na may manuod kahit sabihin namin na sampung Blooms na taga-dito sa California, okay na sa amin yon. Pero grabe! Kung maririnig lang at pwede lang marinig sa livestream yung sigawan ng mga tao sa live, sobrang nakakawala ng kaba at nakakadagdag ng confidence.”
She noted how this milestone was not only for them as a group, but also for the whole country and OPM reaching the global stage.

“Kaya nung natapos kami, may fulfillment sa puso namin. May lugar talaga tayo sa global stage. ‘Yun ‘yung realization ko,” Jhoana maintained.
Gwen also emphasized the unmatched support from fellow Filipinos. “Iba sumuporta ang mga Pinoy talaga,” she said.
Mikha added that it was especially touching to see not only Blooms and casual viewers, but also well-known personalities in attendance, including Filipino-American social media star Bretman Rock.
She also expressed gratitude for fans in the United States who went the extra mile, including organizing an aerial banner for the group.
“Sobrang nakaka-touch po to have other Filipinos who have huge influence here in the U.S. watch us. Sobrang grateful namin. It also just goes to show how supportive Filipinos are and how proud we are to represent our country. I’m so grateful for the Blooms here in the US kasi they really raised enough money to do all these different kinds of things just to express their love for us.”
Following their debut, BINI is set to return to the Coachella stage for their second weekend on April 18 (PH time).
Shortly after, they will appear at the GRAMMY Museum for “Global Spin Live” on April 21, before gracing Billboard Women in Music on April 29, where they are set to receive the Global Force Award.
By June, BINI will be having their “BINI Signals World Tour”. The group will kick off the tour in Manila on June 20 at the Mall of Asia Arena before they head to Cebu for another show on July 11 at Seaside Cebu Arena. BINI will also bring their songs internationally with shows in the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Singapore, Taiwan and the United States.
