Celebrity mom and businesswoman Neri Miranda has finally returned to their family home in Baguio after two years – a milestone she said took time, courage, and healing after a traumatic experience she chose not to disclose.
On Instagram, Neri shared a reel documenting her recent visit to the Miranda Family Baguio Hillside Home, offering followers a reflective look at what it meant for her to come back. In the video, she is seen tending to her garden, gently harvesting rosemary, lavender, and sage.
“Namiss ko ang Baguio house namin… 🏡🌲,” she began.

Neri explained that it had been two years since they last visited the home, recalling that the previous attempt to visit together with her husband, singer-songwriter Chito Miranda, left trauma on her.
“Two years din kami na hindi nakapunta... The last time na dapat pupunta kami ng asawa ko, trauma ang inabot ko... Simula noon, hindi na kami makabalik. Kahit gustuhin ko, parang may takot na hindi ko ma-explain,” she revealed.
Reflecting on the emotional weight of returning, Neri shared how some places, like their Baguio home, can hold beautiful and painful memories.
“Minsan ganun pala ‘no? May mga lugar na mahal mo, pero minsan nagiging mabigat? Dahil sa trauma,” she added.
According to Neri, it was Chito who gently encouraged her to return, not to force nor to prove strength, but to help her heal at her own pace. She expressed deep gratitude for having a partner who prioritized her well-being throughout her journey.
“And thankful ako kasi may partner ako na iniisip ang wellness ko. Gusto niya maging masaya lang ako palagi… kasi doon din siya mas masaya at relaxed,“ said Neri.
Upon returning, Neri said the first thing she noticed was her thriving garden. Her rosemary had grown abundantly, while lavender and sage were in full bloom. She picked herbs from the garden and later arranged them on their dining table before a meal.
“Rosemary is for remembrance. Sage is for cleansing. And lavender is for calmness. Parang coincidence di ba? Parang may bulong si Lord through my garden: ’You survived. You’re growing. You’re safe.’ Kahit may trauma. Kahit may anxiety. Life still grows,” she reflected.
Neri went on to express how grateful she is for Chito who does not pressure her to be strong and instead allows her to pause and rest. She also shared her gratitude for her gradual healing.
“Ang sarap din na alam kong may partner ako sa buhay na hindi ako pinepressure maging ‘strong’. Palagi niyang sinasabi na ok lang mag pause... magpahinga.. Thankful ako kay Lord… dahil dahan-dahan nagiging okay na ako. Hindi overnight. Hindi perfect. Pero getting better,” she said.
As she ended her post, Neri emphasized how being surrounded by people who love and protect her as well as the plants she continues to nurture, has helped her face her pain slowly, rather than avoid it. For her, that progress is enough.
She also reminded followers that their Baguio Hillside Home is not for sale, warning the public about individuals who make content at the expense of others and urging everyone to stay vigilant against scams.
Neri and Chito purchased their Baguio home in 2022, which they once described as a place they hoped would one day become their ancestral home. By 2023, the couple announced that they were officially opening it for rent to the public. In 2024, Neri was arrested for alleged estafa and violation of the Securities Regulation Code and was detained at the Pasay City Jail Female Dormitory, an experience she later described as a “nightmare” she would never forget. By March 2025, she was cleared of all charges.
