Actress Rhian Ramos finally broke her silence on the assault allegations she has been embroiled in this year. In a brief interview with entertainment reporter Aubrey Carampel, she shared what she’s been feeling the past few weeks and maintained how the truth will set them all free.
Rhian, alongside Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio, was accused of illegally detaining her former driver last month.
“Well honestly, siyempre sino ba naman ang matutuwa. I can say yes it’s in a way stressful pero I’m also quite confident na the truth will set us free,” Rhian expressed.
The Kapuso star maintained that she can’t divulge any more details due to legal reasons, but she is hopeful that the truth will come out at the end of it all.
“I just can’t give so much details about everything because we might be waiting for a possible case or whatever. So, I can’t give too many details but in the end, the truth will set us free,” she ended.
Last January, the former driver of Rhian filed a complaint before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) accusing her, Michelle, and Samantha of physical assault, torture, and serious illegal detention which allegedly happened inside a condominium unit in Makati City.
Michelle has since spoken up about the issue and denied any allegations thrown against her. A member of her legal team asserted that the beauty queen wasn’t in Makati City at the time of the alleged illegal detention.
“We find this physically impossible and also incredible kasi based on the allegation of the driver, nangyari raw yung alleged mauling and illegal detention, January 17 to 19. However, records would show na si Michelle Dee was in Iloilo ng buong araw ng January 17, and she was able to go back to Manila only on January 18,” Attorney Maggie Abraham-Garduque shared.
Rhian’s mother also came to her defense on social media and questioned the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) on their support for the driver who allegedly stole from her daughter.
“It has helped fuel this social media frenzy, leaving the ones stolen from and betrayed to be victimized even more by depraved imaginations with stories morphing like cancer,” Rhian’s mom previously stated.
