Love has come full circle for actress-politician Aiko Melendez and actor-turned-entrepreneur, Onemig Bondoc.
On Valentine’s Day, Aiko penned Onemig a sweet message, calling him her ‘soulmate’. It served as a hard launch for their rekindled romance, 29 years after their story first began.
Just a day earlier, on February 13, the couple confirmed through Aiko’s YouTube vlog that they are now officially together after reconnecting and slowly rebuilding what they once had decades ago.
In her Valentine’s post on Facebook, Aiko introduced Onemig as her soulmate and expressed how his presence has brought calm and certainty into her life.

Alongside her message were photos from a recent date night and beach trip. The couple appeared relaxed and affectionate, with images showing them holding hands while watching the sunset, wrapping their arms around each other, and exchanging sweet cheek kisses.
Fans quickly filled the comment section with messages of support and nostalgia.
“Kilig na kilig ako!!!! At 52 y/o halos ka edaran ko sila, parang bumalik sa 90s era lol,” one wrote.
“Eto yung SERENDIPITY eh! Love do find its way back ❤️ Paraaaang, I hear the sound of a wedding 🔔Yay! Happy for you both ❤️,” another added.
Speculation about their relationship first surfaced in December last year when Onemig appeared as a guest on Aiko’s vlog. By January, he further fueled buzz after posting a selfie of them together on Instagram with the caption: “Happy together… after 29 yrs.”
At the time, both said they were taking things slow. In a vlog in late January, they addressed questions about their status and explained that they are not yet a couple and were carefully in rekindling their relationship. They also shared that despite being apart for nearly three decades, they had no regrets about how their lives unfolded — especially because their previous relationships gave them children, whom they both cherish. They expressed that perhaps this was simply how their love story was meant to be written.
By February 13, however, they made their relationship official.
“We are officially together,” Onemig said in Aiko’s latest vlog.
“Ikaw ang destiny ko,” Aiko then told him as they held hands.
“Ito na ang aking now-boyfriend...Onemig Bondoc,” Aiko proudly shared.
Aiko confirmed in October 2025 that she and Zambales first district representative Jay Khonghun had parted ways after nearly eight years together. She clarified that there was no third party involved in their breakup.
