KATSEYE’s leader Sophia Laforteza and Leon Barretto spent their vacation at Hong Kong Disneyland, where they were with their respective families. Photos and videos shared online showed them spending time together at the theme park as they welcomed the new year.
Leon shared photos on Instagram from their Hong Kong Disneyland trip, where he was joined by his mother, Marjorie, his sisters Erich and Dani, and other family members. In the images, the group appeared to be enjoying various rides and attractions around the park.
“starting the year in the happiest place on earth with the people I love most 🫀,” Leon wrote in the caption.
Other photos also showed Leon wrapping his arms around Sophia’s shoulders while she was hugging a Lotso bear. Sophia was also joined by her brother, Oreo, in one of the snaps.
Leon’s sister, Dani, also posted more photos on Instagram featuring Sophia and Leon.

Earlier this week, Sophia’s father, Chef Godfrey Laforteza, shared an Instagram post showing the Laforteza family enjoying their vacation at Hong Kong Disneyland. The post featured Sophia with her parents and her siblings Bailey and Oreo. According to the patriarch, this was their first trip as a complete family after five years.
“LOVE! Complete Family Trip after 5 years. 🤙🏼🕺🏻,” Chef Godfrey wrote.
In his Instagram stories, Chef Godfrey also shared additional photos that included both the Laforteza and Barretto families, confirming that they spent the vacation together.

Meanwhile, on January 6, Carla shared a glimpse of Sophia’s 23rd birthday through a video posted on Instagram. In one of the clips, Leon joined the celebration and stood beside Sophia as she blew out her birthday cake.
Sophia turned 23 on December 31, 2025.
Leon marked the occasion on his Instagram stories with a birthday greeting for Sophia, referring to her as his “bestest friend.”
“happiest birthday to my bestest friend 🧸🫀,” he wrote.
Leon was likewise present during Carla’s 50th birthday celebration and the 85th birthday of her father in late December. During the family gathering with friends, he was captured enjoying the night and dancing with Sophia.
Meanwhile, Sophia recently reposted photos on her Instagram stories showing her and Leon sharing a meal with the Barretto family.
Sophia and Leon are known to be close friends and often spend time together, especially when the KATSEYE leader returns to the Philippines. Since 2024, they have frequently shared playful videos on TikTok, with fans speculating if they are in a relationship.
Sophia made her debut with KATSEYE in June 2024 with the release of the group’s first single, “Debut,” followed by their breakout hit “Touch” in July 2024. The group released their first extended play, SIS (Soft Is Strong), in August 2024 and embarked on an Asia tour in September 2024, performing in South Korea, the Philippines, and Japan.
In June this year, KATSEYE released their second EP, Beautiful Chaos. The group recently received their first Grammy nominations, earning nods for Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela” at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
