Luis Manzano has addressed online rumors after netizens speculated that he and his wife, actress Jessy Mendiola, were the celebrity "power couple" being described in a viral blind item circulating on social media earlier this week. The television host quickly denied the claims, clarifying that the story does not refer to them.
The blind item, posted anonymously and widely shared across platforms, described a “showbiz power couple” that was portrayed as “the definition of perfection” admired for their “looks, flawless image, and undeniable success in their respective fields.” The blind item then alleged that behind the scenes, the husband — described as charming and known for a clean public reputation — was supposedly living a double life “juggling multiple women quietly, repeatedly, and recklessly.”

“The most heartbreaking part? Insiders claim the wife has been blindsided more times than she can count. There were moments when the pain became too heavy to hide—one particularly raw episode allegedly unfolding in a hotel lobby, where she broke down in tears in front of close friends, her misery spilling out far from the cameras meant to protect their perfect image,” the blind item read.
As the blind item went viral, some netizens began naming public figures they believed could be involved, with Luis and Jessy among those mentioned. The speculation prompted Luis to respond directly.
On January 9, Luis reacted on X (formerly Twitter), brushing off the rumors with humor. Laughing at the claim, he replied to a netizen who asked if he and Jessy were the couple being referred to.
“Sleep lang po ako, di po kami 😂😂😂,” Luis directly answered.

Shortly after, Jessy shared glimpses of their family vacation in Tokyo, Japan, posting photos that showed their relaxed and happy moments together. One of the posts included a selfie of the couple, with Luis playfully pouting beside his wife, offering a contrast to the rumors circulating online.
Luis and Jessy began their relationship in 2016. They got engaged in 2020 and were married in a civil ceremony in Batangas the following year. In December 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Rosie. The couple later held a church wedding in Palawan in 2024.
The TV host has previously spoken openly about becoming a father. In a July 2025 interview with Bernadette Sembrano, he recalled the emotional moment he first held his daughter, whom he affectionately calls “Peanut.”
“Umiyak ako. When things slowed down kasi nagpapahinga si Howhow (Jessy Mendiola) kasi CS siya, so there was one time na hawak-hawak ko si Peanut (Rosie). For the first time na hawak ko siya, tapos sleeping, so everything slowed down for a bit. Tapos seeing her face, medyo naluha ako ng konti,” he shared.
Asked what it felt like to be a first-time father, Luis described it as a mix of emotions that ultimately led to love. “It's a melting pot of emotions but it always, kumbaga, it's a melting pot but the final product will always be love,” he said.

He added that the moment carried even more meaning because their daughter was something they had long prayed for. “Ang tagal naming pinagdasal, ang tagal naming inantay, ang tagal nag-stay sa loob ng tiyan ni Howhow, and now hawak na namin siya, more precious than anything in this world,” he remarked.
Just last December, Luis also marked Jessy’s birthday with a sweet message on Instagram.
“Happy happy birthday to the best Howhow in the world ❤️ you are the best in everything you do for us, i will always hope and pray that Peanut grows up to be just like you. Happy happy birthday @jessymendiola ! We love you Mama ❤️,” he wrote.
