Kapamilya actress Dimples Romana was among the ABS-CBN talents who bid farewell to the Millennium Transmitter also known as the ABS-CBN Tower last July 9. In an Instagram post, the Kadenang Ginto star expressed how grateful she is to be part of the history that the ABS-CBN Tower has brought.
The Millennium Transmitter along with some parts of the ABS-CBN Compound in Quezon City was sold to Ayala Land earlier this year for ₱6.24 billion. The sale of the 30,000 square meter property comes after the non-renewal of the franchise made by the House of Representatives back in 2020.
Dimples expressed how the ABS-CBN Tower became a symbol of dreams for not only her but other Kapamilya artists and employees as well.
“Bidding goodbye for the last time to the very landmark that symbolizes all of our dreams and aspirations to make it and leave a mark, a legacy in our industry,” she wrote.
As she bid farewell to the iconic tower which stood its ground for several decades, the Kapamilya actress remained hopeful that it will continue to serve as an inspiration in the future despite it being gone.
“Our tower, stood the test of time, quietly watched us all grow, dream and persevere. It was and always will be a beacon for us to look up to when times got rough, it was and will always be a light that showed our colors, one that held quiet but steady magnificence,” she shared.
“One that represents us all. Our hearts. A family. Come what may 💚💙❤️ taas nuo Kapamilya,” she continued.

Dimples remarked that she will remain forever grateful of being a Kapamilya since she began her career with ABS-CBN in the '90s.
“Tahimik na nag balik tanaw sa maraming taong naging saksi ito sa pagsasakaturapan ng aming mga pangarap - namin at ng aming mga pamilya,” she ended.
The Millennium Transmitter had its final lighting last July 9 which was witnessed by ABS-CBN employees.
