Actress Dimples Romana has always been vocal about having no regrets with getting married at the age of 19 to her boyfriend-turned-husband Boyet Ahmee, and how thankful she is to build a life with her better half along with their three children Callie, Alonzo, and Elio. In an Instagram post last June 14, one day ahead of their 22nd wedding anniversary, Dimples honors her husband once again with a meaniningful tribute on social media.
“A love so wild and extraordinarily ordinary 🤍,” she began, encapsulating the life she has shared with Boyet for more than two decades.
“Decades of defying the odds and going against the tide 🤍 Here’s us on photobooth memories a little over two decades ago, happy anniversary to the love of my life who seems to have been frozen in time ( has more hair than I do 🤭🤣) and have found the fountain of youth. Thank you for keeping up with my Scorpioness all these years. Here’s to a lifetime of annoying our three beautiful, kind kids, winning and losing, dream building, random trips, having no plans, photos we take but never post, and learning and unlearning this crazy life with you! 🤍 love you! All the rest I shall just whisper to you! 💋 Who needs a map when every direction I wanna take is where you’ll always want to go 💋”
Thankful to have such a supportive and loving partner, Dimples shared with the press during the Mega Prime Foods’ 50 Mega Years anniversary event held at the Shangrila Fort in BGC, Taguig why she feels blessed to have such a loving partner who is so understanding to her, especially after she lost her own dad as a teenager.
“I appreciate that he’s the one who stays with our children, raises them day to day. Ako ‘yung laging wala — doing what I love, acting and hosting. I'm so grateful that my husband has zero insecurities, zero ego when it comes to all these. Ang ganda kasing panoorin na ang isang tatay, nasa tahanan din, tumutulong din. Naniniwala akong ang ilaw ng tahanan ay hindi lang galing sa nanay kundi sa parehong magulang. I’m just so grateful that my husband is not only a great husband to me, but also a great father,” she shared.

In her own birthday post last year, Dimples reflects on her 39 years of existence and how she chooses to live her life with gratitude.
She wrote, “I find myself unlearning and learning as I go by. This season is teaching me humility, patience, forgiveness for self and for others, clarity and willingness to honor the phases that my life and my body goes through. Nothing is ever easy, but with prayers (lots and lots of it) somehow the days go by a bit easier. In all this, I realize that even when and while we go through the toughest of times, we must (and CAN) take care of ourselves and our well being. Today, I decided to get up from my bed, wipe my tears, breathe in and breathe out and trust that the Lord’s grace will guide me through each day lovingly. How beautiful it is to be alive, be reminded of our weaknesses and have full surrender that in every weakness I have, comes a Father who fills in all the cracks with the light and strength that I need for today and always.
