Actress-turned-entrepreneur Kiray Celis will soon tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend, Stephan Estopia.
Although she has not disclosed the wedding date yet, she admitted that preparing for the wedding is no easy task especially as they are only counting months until the special day.
“Hindi ako nainform, akala ko madaling ikasal. Akala ko madaling mag-plano. Ang hirap grabe,” Kiray said in an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN on Saturday, July 26, during the birthday celebration of Kryzl Jorge, the country’s youngest CEO.

Kiray has been very hands-on in the wedding preparations, describing herself as “aligaga.”
“Andaming kailangang asikasuhin, sobrang little details lang pero kailangang tutukan mo,” she said. “‘Yung invitation, sapatos ng mga pupunta, syempre gusto mo perfect. And siyempre ‘yung singer. Andaming kailangang asikasuhin, ewan ko ba! Food tasting, wine tasting, andaming ganon.”
The former child star also admitted that she was shocked by the expenses that the wedding preparations entailed.
“Nagulat ako. Kasi noong una, parang kalmado lang ako na mag-aayos ng kasal,” she said. “Hindi ko alam na andami palang kailangang bayaran. Lalo na kaming dalawa ng jowa ko, syempre very equal kami. Pero as much as possible nga parang siya, ‘sige ako na ‘to.’”
Kiray said she is taking the lead in making decisions about the wedding, adding that her partner trusts her choices.
“Ako lang talaga ‘yung si aligaga because ayoko na ‘pag may napili siya, andun na tayo sa babayaran na niya, pero hindi ko bet,” she said. “So parang ako pa rin ‘yung nagaasikaso kasi gusto ko may touch ng ako, hindi niya. Gusto ko, gusto ko, hindi gusto niya. Kasi alam ko naman, lagi niyang sinasabi, kung 'gusto mo, gusto ko na rin.’”
According to Kiray, her wedding gown is now ready but did not go into details about it. She also added that they have already completed their entourage, such as their bridesmaids, groomsmen, and wedding sponsors.

The actress-entrepreneur said they will be having an intimate wedding, strictly without guests outside of the family and the entourage.
She admitted that it was a difficult process, saying: “Sa pamilya ko pa lang, pamangkin ko pa lang, mga kamag-anak, ubos na ‘yung isang daan, kaloka. I mean sobra, sobra, sobrang pili lang ‘yung (invited) sa wedding namin, like family and entourage, walang guest. The friends are coming pero sa after party na.”
Kiray added that only her closest friends in the showbiz industry are invited, but she clarified: “Hindi sila guests, entourage sila ‘matic kasi nga wala talaga akong guests. Sobrang sakit na ng ulo ko kung paano ko sila pagkakasyahin.”

Although others may think a 100- or 150-person wedding is already large, Kiray still considers it an intimate number.
“Nagulat ako kasi nung last update ko sa inyo, sabi ko intimate lang ‘yung wedding ko. Pasensiya na po sa mga nakapanood kasi sabi ko 100 to 150 ‘yung invited, hindi pala intimate ‘yun. Akala ko intimate na pero para sa akin, sa dami ng gusto kong i-invite, sa dami ng kaibigan namin ng jowa ko, intimate na ‘po yung isang daan. ‘Yung parang ang sakit na ng ulo ko, hindi na kaya ‘yung isang daan.”

Last April, Kiray officially announced that she’s engaged following Stephan’s proposal in a romantic beachside setting.
