KC Concepcion recently gave her fans a peek into her weekend stroll at Salcedo Market, Makati’s beloved open-air weekend market.
"I'm back in Makati, it's a Saturday, weekend ngayon at isa sa mga lagi kong naririnig sa mga friends ko ay ang Salcedo Market. Weekend market siya na open-air. And what I love about Salcedo is walkable [neighborhood] siya and it's a place where you can walk around, see how the locals live,” she shared in her latest YouTube vlog.
Eager to explore, KC arrived early and was surprised by the crowd. "Excited na akong mamalengke... Ang daming tao wala pang 9 o'clock."
She also pointed out the market’s long-standing presence in the community. "I heard na itong Salcedo Market, 20 years ng nandito sa Makati," she relayed.
For that day’s haul, KC purchased flowers, wooden bowls and plates, and a variety of fruits. She also enjoyed a quick meal of Thai food.
Wrapping up the experience, KC reflected on what makes Salcedo Market so special.
"We did it! Shopping check. Walking check. Bonding check. We just love Salcedo market not just for vibes but how it gives access to fresh and affordable food, at the same time promoting local and also international products. At bukod diyan, they offer a space for friends and family to just hang out," she said.
KC recently celebrated her 40th birthday.
The actress marked her natal day last April with a serene and heartfelt celebration on the island of Amanpulo, surrounded by close friends and nature’s beauty.
On her Instagram page, the actress shared glimpses of how she welcomed her birthday through a series of island activities with her friends.
"Birthday ‘salubong’ with the crew started with (barefoot) tennis 🎾 to get us ready for our grilled wagyu + sushi dinner, then a surprise birthday welcome, complete with karaoke (of course!) in our favorite villa, and a banana bread appearance as my impromptu birthday cake," she shared on her Instagram page.
KC expressed her gratitude for being able to welcome her 40th year in the company of her close-knit group of friends. "No big crowd, just our little island crew, ushering in the first hour of Chapter 40 with sooo much love and everyone so game for anything. Thank You, Lord!"
