Kevin Jonas recently opened up about facing financial struggles following the Jonas Brothers' split in 2013, revealing that he nearly lost everything.

"I've seen it both ways. I've seen the beginning of the success to financial success, not knowing what money really was and understanding it, to not having to losing almost all of it — seeing bad business deals," he said in an interview with The School of Greatness podcast.

The singer admitted that he lost the majority of his wealth. "Most of it, down to the one 10 percent left," he said.

Kevin attributed the loss to poor business partnerships. "I invested in a bunch of property and doing other things and I was building at the time.  Sadly, it wasn't the right partnership, if you know what I’m saying?" he recalled.

He shared that the experience made him re-evaluate his life and priorities.

"Thankfully for life in general, like we had a second shot and bite at the apple with the band coming back together and actually it was kind of fortuitous in a way. I learned this lesson. Never wanted to learn it, but I did," the singer stated.

Kevin added: "Then, at the same time re-evaluated how to approach life and from that perspective and looking to the future and at the same time was able to really feel honored that we could have a second shot at it."

Composed of brothers Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas, the Jonas Brothers were reunited in 2019 with the release of their album Happiness Begins, which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 and charted in multiple countries.

In February 2024, the pop rock band performed in the Philippines as part of The Tour, which celebrated their five albums at the time.

Earlier this year, in February, the band also marked their 20th anniversary.

"It's been 20 years since we started this journey together. To us, it feels like just yesterday we were loading up our family mini van with a couple of guitars and copies of It's About Time CDs, en route to an afternoon performance at a local mall to play for anyone who would listen." they recalled in a statement posted on their Instagram page to mark the occasion.

They went on: "It's seemingly impossible to put our appreciation into words. None of this would have been possible without you. You've shown up for us. Rooted for us. Encouraged us. And inspired us."

"We've made memories with you at shows, bumped into you on the street, run into you at airports, and read your amazing stories on socials. We treasure our connection with you as much today as we did when we played our first show.

The Jonas Brothers are set to release their upcoming album Greetings from Your Hometown in August 2025.
