Professional volleyball athlete Michele Gumabao admitted that she doesn’t know the relationship status of her brother, Marco Gumabao, and Cristine Reyes. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate sat down with the King of Talk Boy Abunda earlier this week where the latter asked for the real score between her brother and the actress.
Cristine and Marco have been rumored to have parted ways after netizens noticed they briefly unfollowed one another on social media–– both currently follow each other again on Instagram as of this writing.
“I don’t actually know where they are now in their relationship. I just know that nakausap ko pa rin siya last week and I got to see her din especially when her dad passed away,” she admitted.
Despite not knowing the real status of her brother’s relationship with Cristine, the Creamline Cool Smashers player maintained that she and her family have a good relationship with the actress.
“She has a good relationship with our family so at least whatever is happening between them, hindi naman na affect yung mga tao sa paligid like us,” she maintained.
Michele admitted that she didn't immediately warm up to Cristine the first time she was introduced by Marco back then as she didn’t know how far their relationship would go.
“I’m not just very warm at first I would say kasi titignan ko muna kung tatagal ba to. Syempre, you don’t want to get close to that person kung ngayon mo lang siya makikilala,” she admitted.
When asked if Marco would ask advice from her, the professional volleyball athlete revealed that she respects his boundaries and is always there to support him when he asks for it.
“Hanggat sa kailangan niya, magsasabi naman siya. I always ask and then when he doesn’t reciprocate, pag sinabi niya wag muna or sinabi niya ayokong pag usapan, we don’t talk about it… Ngayon he’s very independent. I know he can make his own decisions,” she expressed.
Michele then shared that she will ask her brother all the questions she has once they see each other in person.
Earlier this week, actress Ara Mina kept mum on what she knows about the relationship of her sister Cristine and Marco.
“Well, kung ano alam ko it stays with me and I am not the right person [to tell] kung ano real score,” Ara previously shared.
