MANILA -- Actor Derek Ramsay shared how his former girlfriend, actress Angelica Panganiban, helped him in acting.
In an interview with Cinema One's The B Side hosted by Bianca Gonzalez, Ramsay mentioned the Kapamilya actress as he reminisced about being part of the hit series "Maging Sino Ka Man" when he was just starting out.
"I already felt the pressure, kasi when they announced it, they were honest to tell me na, 'Hey, it's more pressure now because Book 1 was so big and introducing these characters, so I'm now on stage with other big stars too and I'm just starting my career. These guys have big names already and I just felt so much pressure working with all of them, and being in a project that already had so much success," said Ramsay referring to show's stars that included John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga, Sam Milby and Anne Curtis.
"It's so much hard to do, 'yung sequel, right? The pressure was pretty intense. But at the time, Angelica [Panganiban] was my girlfriend and she's a talented actress, so she was able to help me," Ramsay said.

Ramsay and Panganiban started dating in 2006. After six years of relationship they broke up in 2012.
Now, Ramsay and Panganiban are both happy with their personal lives with their respective spouses.
Ramsay is now married to Ellen Adarna and welcomed their first child Liana last year.
Panganiban, meanwhile, is married to Gregg Homan and welcomed their daughter Amila Sabine in 2022.
