MANILA -- Derek Ramsay was non-committal when asked if he is "semi-retired" from showbiz, as the actor is now enjoying his time with his family.
It has been a while since Ramsay has done a project, with his last movie being "Kampon" in 2023.
Since then, he has mostly focused on his own golf business, and his baby girl, Liana, with Ellen Adarna.
"I was worried about post-partum and all of that, I had to deal with (her) hormones during her pregnancy, para sa kin, it was all new to me. Grabe, the hormones talaga. It's amazing what, how strong a woman is going through all of that," said Ramsay.
Adarna is now healthy and back in tip-top shape, according to Ramsay. "Parang hindi nanganak. She lost all the weight. She's really enjoying this journey of her pregnancy. She's not stressed. She loves taking care of the baby girl," he said.
As for being a father, Ramsay is thrilled about the experience. "Ang sarap! Best feeling in the world," he says. "Kahit anong problema, mawawala, makita mo lang [ang anak mo]."
When asked about what his growing family means for his showbiz career, Ramsay simply said that he is "enjoying" the fruits of the hard work that he's done in the past years.
"I don't know whatever you want to call it, but right now, I can't see myself doing anything else," he said. "I've always said naman talaga … na kapag nagka-pamilya ako, my focus will be with them."
Ramsay on Sunday participated in the Celebrity Golf Tournament, organized by the Metro Manila Film Festival.
