OPM singer and songwriter Chito Miranda shared with his followers on social media why he believes in the saying ‘Happy Wife, Happy Life.’ He expressed that this is the saying he follows instead of the other mantras that focus on the husband instead of the wife.
Chito and his wife, Neri Naig, have been married for a decade already.

The Parokya ni Edgar frontman shared how he saw the saying on social media and the different reactions of men towards it.
“May nakita ako recently sa FB na mga lalakeng nagrereklamo tungkol sa line na 'to. Lugi daw ang mga lalake. Toxic daw. Eto daw ang 'most dangerous relationship advice ever given to men.' Dapat daw 'Happy Spouse, Happy House' o kaya 'Stable Man, Strong Family,'” he wrote.
He then maintained that this shouldn’t be the case as “Happy Wife, Happy Life” is the perfect advice for him.
“No offense, pero parang ang whiny eh...parang begging for respect and attention, wanting things to be more about them, instead of their wife,” he added.
“Kasi as long as I treat my wife right, take care of her and our kids, and make her happy, she treats me like a king, and takes care of me as if I'm the greatest thing na nangyari sa buhay nya✌🏼😅...and that 'vibe' spreads sa buong family universe namin,” he continued.

While Chito expressed that he understood that the saying might not work for everyone, he maintained that it’s his personal opinion–– making Neri a happy wife.
“Sobrang nainiwala talaga ako sa 'Happy Wife, Happy Life,' not unless you married someone who doesn't appreciate you, no matter how hard you try to make her happy,” he ended.
Fans of the singer applauded him in the comment section for treating Neri right. Other netizens claimed how this should be the mindset of married men–– making sure their wives are at their happiest.
