Alex Eala took to social media to reflect on her inspiring run at the Miami Open, marking a significant milestone in her journey.
"Wow, this year’s @miamiopen has left me speechless and so full of emotion, mostly pride and gratitude," she remarked.
Representing the Philippines on the global stage, Alex expressed pride in her performance and resilience throughout the tournament.
"I’m proud of myself for pushing through those tough moments, as well as to have been able to make a statement for the Philippines in one of the biggest stages of tennis," she said.
The 19-year-old athlete also extended her gratitude to everyone who supported her in her journey.
"Moreover, I’m thankful for all the positivity coming my way, and I pray that you all continue sending support through the highs and lows. Salamat sa lahat ng pagdadasal at magagandang mensahe," she stated.
Alex remains grounded, acknowledging that her breakthrough moment is just the beginning of a longer journey.
"I recognize that these two weeks have opened the door to so many opportunities for me, but along with those opportunities come a whole new set of obstacles I will have to navigate through. The real work starts now," the Filipino tennis sensation remarked.

Although her journey ended with a loss to world No. 4 Jessica Pegula of the United States, Alex advanced to the quarterfinals after world No. 11 Paula Badosa of Spain withdrew due to a back injury. She managed to win over No. 2 seed Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinals.
Despite the semifinal exit, Alex leaves Miami with a career milestone as she is projected to break into the WTA Top 75 for the first time and will take home $332,160 in prize money, which is her biggest earnings to date.
