Pia Wurtzbach described her recent visit to Benguet for a LoveYourself initiative as an unforgettable experience.
On her Instagram page, the former Miss Universe shared snapshots of her activities in Benguet for the organization.
"What a truly unforgettable and meaningful time in Benguet with @loveyourself.ph ❤️," she wrote. "We were there to shoot new episodes for our advocacy series 'Holding Space' (I really can't wait to show you this series 😭🙏) and celebrate International Condom Day, continuing our mission to raise awareness about HIV."
She also shared how she was inspired "by the amazing young advocates" of PIAN Tayo as they shared their projects one by one.
"I told them, 'Keep pushing forward.' I know challenges will come, but I believe in their strength, resilience, and passion to overcome anything. They are the future, and their voices matter now more than ever," she remarked.
She added: "It’s always inspiring to hear @doc_vinn speak, encouraging even more people to join the cause. Siya talaga idol ko sa advocacy work."
Pia also visited the Provincial Capitol to carry out the LoveYourself initiatives.
"We’re also grateful to the Benguet Provincial Government and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation for welcoming LoveYourself at the Provincial Capitol last February 6. The energy was incredible, and the event beautifully celebrated both our work and the rich culture of Benguet," she said.
Pia and LoveYourself marked the International Condom Day by pushing "the conversation forward" and "[empowering] one another to make safer, informed choices."
Pia pointed out: "Condoms aren’t just a tool—they’re a symbol of self-respect, care, and responsibility. 💪 Together with partners like AIDS Healthcare Foundation and the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, we’re working to break stigma and educate the next generation about safe sex," she said.
Pia also shared how she missed Baguio as it has been a while since she visited the city.
"P.S. On a side note, namiss ko ang Baguio. Tagal ko na rin hindi nakabalik. We enjoyed the cool breeze pati na rin ang batirol (chocolate drink). Sarap balikan ❤️," she said.
