Karla Estrada could not help but express her gratitude toz Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 housemate Joaquin Arce for being a comforting presence to her youngest daughter, Lella Ford, during one of the latter's most emotional moments inside the Big Brother house.
In one of the recent episodes, Lella, known as “Ang Blooming Bunso ng Tacloban”, broke down in tears after being named as one of the top rule violators of the house. Deeply affected, she opened up to Big Brother about how upset and sorry she felt about the situation she had hoped would never happen. She worried she was disappointing her family, especially her mom, celebrity host-actress Karla.
During her vulnerable moment, Joaquin, “Ang Rising Dreamer ng Muntinlupa”, stepped up and offered the kind of comfort a struggling friend would need. He gently reminded Lella that instead of focusing on the high number of violations, she should see it as motivation to change.
“Pinakamataas? Hindi ‘yun ang mindset. Dapat, ‘I have 16 violations, dapat mag-improve ako. Hindi na ako mag v-violate.’ Yun dapat ang mindset mo,” he reminded her, assuring her that stress is expected but struggles help a person grow.
Not only did Joaquin encourage her with words, he even did a short and playful dance just to make her smile and shake off the sadness.
Taking to social media, Karla thanked Joaquin for being there for her daughter when she needed a reminder of her strength.
“Thank you Joaquin for cheering up my bunso! Yakap mo narin ako sa kanya.💜💜💜,” Karla began.
Karla also reaffirmed that as long as Lella stays strong, learns, and keeps moving forward, she will always make her family proud. “Hindi masusukat ang kabutihan mo Le anak, sa mga violations na nagawa mo dyan. Mas maraming tao na may matitinding violations sa buhay. Hanggat matibay ang loob mo para harapin lahat at matuto, sa huli ikaw parin ang panalo sa pag-abot sa mga pangarap mo.
“Mahal na mahal kita anak kasama ng buong angkan! Kailan man hindi mo kami pinahiya, basta galingan mo at maging masaya ka dyan. Tahan na, may mga tasks pang haharapin bukas.🙏🏻,” she ended.
Throughout the season, Joaquin has been steadily proving himself as one of the most nurturing housemates inside the PBB house, often encouraging others and showing his true nature. His parents could not be prouder, expressing their love and admiration online.

Joaquin earlier opened about being born completely deaf in his right ear, a challenge he has transformed into a strength, saying he sees it as his “superpower” because it taught him to listen more deeply to others.
His father, Neil Arce, posted his pride for his son’s inspiring heart: “From an accident to a blessing. From having special needs to having super powers. From inspiring me to inspiring millions. Can’t ask for a better son. Love you Child!"
Joaquin’s stepmom, actress Angel Locsin, also surfaced online to express how proud she is to see him mature into someone who helps and cares for others, reminding everyone to understand if he speaks loudly or doesn’t respond right away because of his hearing condition.
