Neil Arce beamed with pride as a proud father of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 housemate Joaquin Arce. On his Instagram earlier this week, the celebrity father expressed how happy he is that his son gets to inspire millions of people watching the hit reality program.
Joaquin opened up about his hearing disability in one of the previous episodes of PBB earlier this month.

“Pinanganak po akong bingi sa kanang tainga. Never ko po naranasan na may dalawa akong tainga na nakakarinig. But my entire life, I’ve been looking at it in such a positive light na hindi ko po napansin ang mga negatibong effects,” Joaquin previously shared.
He added how he never saw it as a hindrance as his parents never treated him like he was deaf. Due to his hearing disability, he admitted that he became a good listener as he makes sure to hear out each person that talks to him.
“Noong lumalaki po ako, hindi ko po naramdam na may special needs po ako. Kasi 'yung mga magulang ko, they treated me like I wasn’t deaf, they didn’t treat me na kawawa ako. They enforced positivity na dahil dito unique ako. As a kid, inisip ko po siya na superpower ko siya. Superpowers are what make superheroes unique, that what makes them superheroes and not normal people,” he expressed.
Neil then shared in his Instagram post how happy he was for his son to be growing up and become an inspiration to many. The businessman showed the clip of Joaquin’s story to his followers on the social media platform.

“From an accident to a blessing. From having special needs to having super powers.From inspiring me to inspiring millions. Can’t ask for a better son. Love you Child,” he shared.
Fans of the Kapamilya actor expressed in the comment section how refreshing it is to see such supportive parents. Other netizens applauded Neil and Joaquin’s mom for raising him to be empathetic and making sure to listen to others.
Previously, Joaquin’s stepmom, Angel Locsin, broke her social media hiatus to share how much her stepson has grown during his stay inside the PBB house.
“I don’t usually comment, but seeing Joaquin grow from a little boy into someone who helps, listens, and keeps the peace at home makes me proud. If he ever talks a bit loud or doesn’t respond, please forgive him — our son is completely deaf in his right ear,” she previously shared.
