Ate Gay rushed back to the hospital due to side effects of chemotherapy: ‘Di makakain dahil sa daming singaw’

Comedian Ate Gay, whose real name is Gil Morales, was rushed back to the hospital due to the side effects of her chemotherapy. On her social media accounts, she shared some updates on her battle with mucoepidermoid carcinoma. 




 

Ate Gay was rushed to the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Muntinlupa City according to her post.

The side effects came weeks after her chemotherapy took place and had to be admitted back in the hospital as she couldn’t ingest food because of mouth ulcers. 


“Late na ako nakaranas ng side effect .. di makakain dahil sa daming singaw ng bibig ko kaya nagpaconfine,” she shared.


In the photo that she shared, Ate Gay can be seen resting in bed. 


“48 hours yan nakatusok sa akin yan muna Ang paraan ng pagpapakain,” he added. 


Friends and fans sent their well wishes and prayers in the comment section of her post. Other netizens hope that everything will go well with her treatment plan and that she would recover from this setback. 


“Laban po tayo Ate Gay,”  a fan wrote. 


“Laban, queen! Nasa paligid mo kami nagmamahal sayo,” another fan expressed. 


It was just last November when Ate Gay shared the good news that she completed her chemotherapy for stage 4 cancer.  


“Yeheyyy nalagpasan ko Ang pagduduwal walang panlasa.. now nakakain na ng bongga .. graduate na ako sa chemo,” she previously shared.

Since then, she has been undergoing radiation and immunotherapy and has been giving fans an update about her health on her social media accounts. 


Last September, Ate Gay shared the difficulties she had after finding out she had cancer in an interview with Jessica Soho. 


“Mahirap ngayon ang lagay ko. May kanser ako, stage 4 daw. Magtatagal ba ang buhay ko? Ang sabi, hindi na daw ako aabutin ng 2026. Kaya ang sakit-sakit sa akin. Hindi na rin daw ako puwedeng operahan. Wala raw lunas,” she previously shared.
