Social media personality Bea Borres couldn’t hide her frustration after a netizen took to social media platform Threads to share discomfort over her recent vlog with Zeinab Harake, where they went on a shopping spree worth P300,000 for baby essentials that Bea needed.

The netizen’s post, which quickly gained traction online, read: “Napanood niyo ba yong vlog ni Zeinab at Bea borres? tapos gumastos ng 300k para sa shopping, wala namang inggit nakakapikon lang. Like I dont have an issue with them at all, they earned what they have. I just feel a bit off seeing all that luxury and showing their lavish lifestyle while so much is happening back home. I don't even know, it just feels... something I don't know exactly what it is.”

The comment did not sit well with Bea, who immediately responded through a statement posted online. The influencer, who is currently expecting her first child, said she had to delete her TikTok and Instagram apps because of the negativity surrounding her.

“I deleted my tiktok and ig apps. I only have fb and threads now and I actually enjoy using threads because it's like X but less toxic pero when I opened it, ito agad yung una kong nakita,” Bea began.

Defending herself and Zeinab, Bea clarified that the vlog was filmed days before the recent typhoon hit the country, stressing that it was never meant to come off as insensitive or boastful. “First of all, that vlog was filmed before the typhoon happened. hindi naman po ako nagsusumbat, and definitely not nagmamayabang,” she explained.

Bea went on to reveal that she has been quietly donating to various relief efforts over the years. “wala rin naman ako balak ipost but since andami parin say hahaha l've already donated almost half a million pesos to different disasters that have happened in our country. I also pay my taxes,” she said.

She also opened up about her personal struggles, saying, “Magiging single mom po ako, pinapaaral ko pa ang sarili ko, but I still do what I can to help with the suffering happening around us (wala po akong obligation but like what I always say, i wouldn't be here without you guys that's why I give back in ways that I can).”

Bea then called out the criticism content creators often face online, emphasizing that many of them choose to help quietly. “It's just unfair that content creators are being hated on just because hindi niyo nakikita lahat ng way ng pag help namin,” she wrote.

She ended her post with a strong message: “I'm sorry if you think that it's insensitive but at least hindi kami magnanakaw at hindi kami nagfleflex ng pera na galing sa nakaw. magalit po kayo sa corrupt, isa rin kami sa ninanakawan.”

Following the criticism, fans expressed their support to the content creator.

“Oh our Bea, I just want to say that you don’t owe anyone an explanation for living your life and enjoying what you’ve worked hard for. People will always have something to say, even when your intentions are pure. What matters most is that you know your heart and you stay kind despite the noise,” a fan wrote in a lengthy comment.

“I don't usually give comments on social media but this one caught my attention. Bea has a point that whatever they spend is their own hard earned money. It is just that people nowadays are easy to judge others,” another added.

Last November 4, Bea shared that she will not be accepting any brand endorsements for now because of her high-risk pregnancy. She emphasized that she will be focusing on her and her baby's health.
