Kapamilya actress Sofia Andres expressed her frustration over the recent flooding that happened in Cebu due to typhoon Tino earlier this week. The Alibi star shared on her Instagram account several posts in support of everyone who had been affected by the calamity.
The death toll has increased to 188 as of this writing–– 135 of which were from Cebu province.

“The Lord said, do not forget. When the storms passed, silence revealed what truly destroys us. Greed,” she wrote.
In a previous post during the onslaught of the typhoon in the Visayas, Sofia said that she was praying for everyone who has been affected.
“Tonight I am praying for Cebu and for everyone who is suffering in silence,” she expressed.
The Kapamilya star shared a story as well on her Instagram Stories in solidarity with the Cebuanos. She, just like the hundreds of thousands who reposted the story, is frustrated with the flooding that happened.
“Mad because the people have done their part to prepare (food, emergency kits, meds & more) but the flood control projects which could have saved us all from this situation are clearly corrupted & it is evident!” the Instagram Story shared.

Sofia is just one of the few celebrities who showed their support over the recent calamity that happened in the country. Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin broke her silence once more and shared her disappointment on her X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Not another one 😔 Hoping everyone in Cebu is safe. Are we all thinking the same — is it just because of the rain, or because something could’ve been done to prevent it? Hope authorities look into this as well so it doesn’t happen again. Wishing our kababayans a quick recovery and safer days ahead,” Angel expressed.
The initial reports after typhoon Tino recorded a total of ₱6.3 million worth of infrastructural damage and ₱13.3 million of agricultural damage. Thousands of houses across the Visayas region were partially and totally damaged as well.
