Kapamilya actress Sofia Andres took to social media to share her heartfelt farewell as ABS-CBN officially closed its iconic Millennium Tower.
On her Instagram page, Sofia reflected on how the tower represented not just a network, but the dreams of millions, including her own.
“Today, we say farewell to the ABS-CBN Tower an icon that stood not just for a network, but for millions of dreams, including mine,” she wrote.
She described the tower as a symbol of hope and ambition, especially for the many aspiring artists who once lined up at its gates.
“This tower was more than just steel and signal. Para sa maraming kabataan lalo na sa mga aplikanteng araw-araw pumipila sa gate,” she added. “It represented hope, ambition, and the belief that anything is possible.”
Sofia also recalled her younger days, when she would look up at the tower and silently wish for her own breakthrough.
“I was once that young girl, looking up, quietly whispering to myself, 'Someday, I’ll make it too.' And I did. Because of this place, I was inspired to dream and to keep going,” she expressed.
As she bid her farewell to the ABS-CBN Tower, Sofia said: “Though the tower may no longer stand, the legacy remains. The dreams it sparked will live on stronger, louder, and braver. This may be the end of an era, but this is only the beginning of something greater. 🌟🎥 ❤️.”
As she bid goodbye, Sofia ended her message with hope and gratitude.
“Thank you, ABS-CBN Tower. You will always be part of who I am,” she expressed.
Sofia joins many celebrities, employees, and personalities who have shared their personal memories as the ABS-CBN compound's landmark tower is turned over to Ayala Land Inc. (ALI). The tower has stood for more than five decades in Quezon City.
In a previous post, singer and actress Zsa Zsa Padilla also expressed her sentiments, reminiscing about her early days before the compound became what it is today.
“I’ve witnessed the many transformations of the ABS-CBN compound over the years. When I was beginning my singing career in 1983, the space was still used by PTV 4, and I vividly remember promoting my songs in one of the studios,” she shared.

“Fast forward to the present, and standing with my ASAP family at the iconic ABS-CBN tower for [TV] Patrol the other night, I couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of melancholy. This place holds decades of history, memories, and milestones—not just for us, but for everyone who grew up watching. Knowing that the next time we return, the tower may no longer be there, makes this moment even more bittersweet,” she added.
Pinoy Big Brother host Bianca Gonzalez also looked back on her beginnings in the industry, saying: “I started hosting professionally in 2004 but my first ever job in ABS-CBN was in 2003, as a brainstormer and trainee writer. Sooo many memories in this space!!! 20 year old Bianca had no idea what was in store for her 🥹.”
Veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez reunited with her former colleagues for a quick visit and photo at the compound.

"Heartfelt reunion among the OGs of 1986 of ABS-CBN❤️💙💚,” she wrote. “Can’t believe Inez Manapul, Gretchen Ocampo Recto, Angelique Lazo, Leo Katigbak, Tess Nayve, Tammy Quirino Reynoso, Dave Fabros (thank you boss Cory Vidanes for organizing), and others will not so long from now be missing this iconic building and tower that has become our 'ancestral' home - where dreams began and became reality and turned into a whole new world for Filipinos nationwide," she remarked.
